What is the Road to launch?
A calendar with one door for every day from 5 October 2026 until GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026, the date Rockstar Games has announced (official page). Behind each door is a launch-prep step, fix or console error code from our own guides: thirteen checklist steps, ten common fixes, six console error codes, the launch-day essentials (pre-load, unlock times, the day-one patch) and where to check platform status. The last door, on launch day itself, is a special one.
How it works
Doors unlock at midnight UTC, so everyone opens the same door on the same day. Today's door glows in the grid; tap it to open it and you see an original illustration, a one-line takeaway from the guide, a link to read the whole thing and how long until the next door. Doors you missed stay available and can be opened late. Future doors stay shut and only show their date and how long until they unlock: nothing behind them is shown before its day.
Your progress ring counts the doors you have opened out of those available so far. Open every available door to be all caught up, and open seven doors to earn a legendary card in the album. Download a 1200×630 card of your calendar to share how far you have come. Pair it with today's dailies and the Road to Launch pass for a full daily routine.
Questions
How does the Road to launch calendar work?
There is one door for every day from 5 October 2026 to launch day, 19 November 2026: 46 doors in all. Each door unlocks at midnight UTC on its date, the same moment for everyone. Behind it is a launch-prep step, fix or console error code, with an original illustration, one line from our guide and a link to read more.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing is lost. A door you missed stays open: it is marked as missed in the grid and you can open it late, at any time. Only doors whose date has not come yet stay locked.
When is GTA 6 released?
Rockstar Games has announced 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; the last door opens that day. The official page is rockstargames.com/VI.
Is my progress saved?
Only in this browser. Opening a door records it in your browser's local storage; there is no account and nothing is sent to us. Clearing your browser data, or a private window, starts the calendar again.
Is this official?
No. GTA6 Is Down? is an unofficial fan site, not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. The door art is original, made for this site, and every line comes from one of our guides with its sources.
