How the polls work
The three launch polls count real votes cast on this site. When you vote, your browser sends the poll, your answer and a random ID that this browser keeps in local storage. That ID stops the same browser voting twice, and it is not linked to your name or email. The bars show the share of all votes cast here so far. We never add, seed or adjust votes, and the numbers are not a survey of all GTA players: they only show who visited this site and chose to vote.
The question of the day works differently. It is just for fun and your answer never leaves your device, so there is no crowd tally to show. A new question unlocks at midnight in your time zone. Answering it, or voting in a launch poll, keeps your voting streak alive. Miss a day and the streak starts again from one.
Your votes, your answers and your streak are kept in this browser's storage. Clearing your browser data removes them from this device. Votes already counted in a launch poll stay in the totals, because they carry no personal details we could match to you. See the privacy notice for exactly what we store.
While you wait for launch
