What happens when
- Pre-load opens for digital pre-orders on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so the game can download before launch.
- Launch day. Digital copies are expected to unlock around midnight local time (Rockstar has not confirmed exact times); boxed copies go on sale in shops. Expect store, download and sign-in services to be busy.
- Day-one and follow-up patches. Watch this site for live status of Rockstar services, PlayStation Network and Xbox network.
Why a countdown in your time zone?
Console games usually unlock at midnight local time in each region, so players in Asia and Oceania get in first and players in the Americas last. Our countdown ends at midnight on 19 November wherever you are. Rockstar has not published exact per-region unlock times yet; when it does, the launch-day guide will list them.
