Fix it on your platform
Step-by-step connection guides, each with live status for that platform:
What can actually go wrong with GTA 6
Rockstar describes GTA 6 as a single-player experience and has not announced an online mode, so there will be no GTA Online-style matchmaking servers to fail at launch. The weak points on launch week are the platforms around the game:
- Stores and downloads: PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and their download servers, especially when pre-loading opens on 12 November and at unlock on 19 November.
- Sign-in and licences: PlayStation Network and Xbox network have to confirm you own the game. Boxed copies are download codes that must be redeemed.
- Rockstar services: Rockstar accounts and any online features Rockstar switches on later.
That is exactly what the cards above track. If they all show Up and the "is it just me?" box says reports are normal, the fix is probably on your side. Start with the common issues guide or look up your error code.
Before you blame the servers
- Restart the console and your router (unplug the router for 30 seconds).
- Check for a game or system update.
- Make sure you are signed in with the account that bought the game.
- Look at the official status pages linked on each card above.
