Storage

Free up space for the downloadRockstar has not published a final install size. Leave generous room on your console's internal or supported external SSD before pre-load opens; big open-world games often need 100 GB or more. Why each step matters

The first hours after a big launch put pressure on store servers, download networks and sign-in services at the same time. Everything you do in advance, like pre-loading, updating and checking your account, is one less thing that can fail when millions of people try at once.
