Your hype level: Countdown checker
You know the days left. You know exactly how many days are left. You check the countdown, you talk about it, and you are starting to plan.
What to do with your hype
- Plan the night with the launch-day guide.
- Make sure your console is updated and set as your main PS5 or Home Xbox.
- Keep your check-in streak going on the countdown.

The five hype levels
- Mildly curious (0 to 3 points): you know it is coming.
- Trailer rewatcher (4 to 6): you have seen the official videos, maybe more than once.
- Countdown checker (7 to 9): you know how many days are left.
- Launch-night camper (10 to 12): your launch night is planned.
- Maximum hype (13 to 16): pre-ordered, prepared and counting the hours.
Keeping the hype healthy
Hype is half the fun of a big launch, but it helps to keep it grounded. Rumours, leaks and "insider" posts are not announcements; dates and features only count when Rockstar or the platform holders publish them. Put the energy into things that make launch night better: an updated console, free storage, the right account signed in and a plan for where to look if something goes wrong. The countdown and checklist on this site are built for exactly that.
What is announced
GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-loading from 12 November. Rockstar has released three official GTA VI videos: Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and An Extended Look. No PC version, unlock schedule or download size has been announced. This is an unofficial fan quiz; for live service problems on launch night, see the status page.
