Your launch plan: Unlock chaser
Playing the minute it unlocks. You want to be in the moment it unlocks. That means everything done in advance: pre-loaded, updated and signed in, so the only thing left on the night is pressing start.
Your launch-week plan
- Pre-load from 12 November so the game is installed before launch.
- Make the console your main PS5 or Home Xbox so the game can start even if the network has a hiccup.
- Unlock times are not officially published: check the launch-day guide and keep the console online and signed in.

The groundwork every plan shares
Whatever your plan, the groundwork in our launch-day guide and launch checklist is the same. Before 12 November, install pending system updates and free up storage; the download size has not been announced, so leave generous room. On 12 November, start the pre-load, and if you bought a boxed copy, redeem the code first. Make the console your main PS5 (Console Sharing and Offline Play) or your Home Xbox. On launch day, check for a game update before you start playing and keep the console signed in with the account that bought the game.
What is announced, and what is not
- Announced: pre-load from 12 November 2026 for digital pre-orders and redeemed codes from boxed copies, and launch on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Not announced: an official unlock schedule, the download size and any day-one patch. Fan and press guides report local-midnight unlocks; treat those as unconfirmed.
- Worth knowing: boxed copies hold a download code, not a disc, so everyone downloads the full game.
